(DMRC)
is
carrying
out
advertising
on
its
exterior
of
the
trains.
The
agenda
behind
allowing
advertisements
on
the
exterior
of
the
Delhi
Metro
train
is
to
generate
revenue
as
Delhi
Metro
is
the
part
of
the
daily
commute
for
many
people,
which
gives
maximum
reach
to
the
audience.
DMRC
official
said,
“For
the
first
time,
the
exterior
of
trains
will
be
available
for
advertisements.
The
corporation
will
be
permitting
train
wraps
for
advertising.”
The
advertisements
on
the
Delhi
Metro
will
gain
huge
market
in
India
by
breaking
through
the
lively
and
vibrant
platform
crowds.
It
will
help
in
increase
the
sales
of
the
products
and
the
growth
of
its
company
in
the
market.
DMRC
officials
said,
"To
augment
the
non-operational
revenues,
Delhi
Metro
has
awarded
exclusive
rights
for
displaying
advertising
materials,
including
pictures,
printed
material,
electronic
media,
posters,
holographic
images
and
visual
displays
on
the
external
part
of
its
trains."
Such
advertising
will
attract
thousands
of
commuters
with
high
impact
ads.
It
will
give
the
benefit
of
high
impactful
repetition,
which
delivers
a
visually
stimulating
environment.
DMRC
official
said,
“At
present,
DMRC
operates
a
fleet
of
over
200
train
sets
with
over
60
eightcoach
trains
and
over
80
six-coach
trains.
The
train
wraps
shall
be
permitted
on
10%
of
the
total
train
sets
available
on
the
operational
lines
of
the
network.”
“The
exclusive
advertising
rights
have
been
given
to
two
agencies,
which
shall
be
valid
for
a
period
of
10
years.
The
selected
agencies
will
give
an
annual
licence
fee.
DMRC
will
monitor
the
advertising
activity.
We
want
to
contribute
to
the
aesthetic
value
of
Delhi
Metro
through
high-quality
advertising,”
said
the
DMRC
official.
